Growing Up
Jeremy is showing signs of maturity. He's beginning to care for people outside of himself.
Every Saturday is sleep-in-Lola's-room day. That's when Daddy Elmer and I usually have the bed all to ourselves. Last saturday, I asked them to sleep with us and give Lola a break. Jeremy is usually very happy to stay with us, so his initial reaction was 'YES!' I went down for a while and when i came back up, he was nowhere. Jam said he took his pillows and went to sleep with Lola. When I asked him about it the next morning, he said, "Kawawa naman si Lola kasi walang kasama. (Lola will be all alone, that's sad.)"
The other day, he went against his usual pattern again. To Jeremy, playing outside in the park near our subdivision was the best treat on a fine afternoon. So when he left his uncle who was with them (Kuya Justin and Ate Jam)in the park, to go home to Lola, I, again asked him why. He said, "I called Lola when we were at Uncle's place and asked her to cook pancakes for us. It wouldn't be right if after all her efforts, nobody was there to eat what she cooked."
My Jeremy is growing up a really caring young man. And that just makes me so darn proud :)
